Hey There! I used to cycle centuries and long tours a long time ago, but had
my bike "Liberated" and got out of the sport, now I am coming back, and there
is all this new stuff. I am planning to Tour Ireland, Great Britain, France,
etc... and want to buy a new bike, can anyone tell me if a Hybrid would be
better then the touring bike at all? I dont plan to hit trails, but there
may be a very seldom foot trail to a landsite, but other then that, the most
would be an occassional dirt-pacted road, but mostly pavement. And
suggestions on brands and components? I do want to keep it reasonably
priced, so say around $400-$600 before taxes! I looked at a few bikes, and I
figure a 21-22 inch frame will be most likely my size, and I'd like 28" rims
as well. I would just like something reliable, but not so expensive, that it
will take alot of $ from the trip! Oh Yeah, a Cool color would be nice, but
can be overloooked.
Thanks to ALL!
