Hello JEAN. 26 Oct 04 10:08, you wrote to ANDY BALL: JP> Hello Andy, we were saying ! AB>> I've seen USB to Mini-DIN 8 serialadaptors for sale. I connected the USB printer JP> to that DIN socket and it did not work, I guess that it needs a +5v JP> current to work. there's 5v on the mouse socket. the problem more likely is that the printer isn't built with software that lets it communicate with a mouse socket, while the mouse is. and/or that your operating system can't handle printers attached to the mouse port. FWIW USB is about 1000 times faster (bitrate) than the mouse port. Jasen --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.4.7* Origin: (3:640/1042) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 640/1042 531 954 774/605 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
