That is the idea of setting up your system in the dual boot mode.  When
you dual-boot to DOS you have exited from OS/2 and have rebooted DOS.

I set up dual-boot mode so that I could "play" with OS/2 and still have
DOS and WINDOWS available to me.  Now that I have become more
comfortable with OS/2 I rarely leave OS/2.  The VDM's (DOS box) gives
you all the DOS you want.  My comm program, TELEMATE, runs nicely in the
background while downloading messages, and I can read previous messages
with OLX.

Someone had a tagline: OS/2 ... opens Windows, shuts Gates.  I'm getting
hooked on OS/2.
