In another post to Jane Kelley I concluded that our posts seem to be getting
pretty flamed.  I think I am also guilty of this.  I want to post issues
that concern me on ADHD.
Raising and Disciplining my children
Symptoms of ADHD and related disorders
Different Medications and treatments (within fair reason)
Support for parents (being able to get our frustrations out)
New research (without making it gospel truth)
Opinions (being just that)
Books and resources in helping us cope
Even post from children with ADHD
I would like to see these issues without someone forcing me to except their
views, opinions, and their research.  I don't believe that everyone who
cites some research they do can always grasp the correct understanding in
what they read.  Being a non-professional I will admit that I don't always
understand everything I read.  Being that we are all human I don't believe
professionals can claim they always can.
Now to make what I believe is my stand:  I have concluded that ADHD has
nothing to do with diet or alcohol.  I can not argue with someone who does.
I am not a professional.  I am a concerned parent who has educated herself
the best I can and am continuing to do so.  There is no alcohol abuse in
my family so this issue of high risk does not concern me.  This issue
which I at this point do not believe as a real issue.  To me this is a
theory, one of many concerning ADHD.
These are the issues I thought were what this echo is all about. I and many
others need this.  We need the support of people going through the same 
hing.
I need to continue to learn anything new to help my situation, but I also
need the freedom to make my own conclusions.  
This is not a blast to anyone in particular.  As I have said I myself have
been guilty of keeping an issue going I am not concerned with as well as
being more than non-courteous, including the post that were made prior to
these last two. We all have a right to an opinion, but we do not have a
right to force our opinion on someone else.
I have in the past found this echo to be helpful and would like to see
it again become that way.
