subject: OS/2 environment

Hi,

Is there a way to set an environment variable in the "master" OS/2
environment so all OS/2 windows see it.
Right now I'm setting a dummy variable in my config.sys for the
"hostname" variable for TCP/IP. I call in with SLIP, so I have a dynamic
address. I've edited my slipup.cmd to parse and get the value, I have
tried setting it with the REXX stuff, specifying "OS2ENVIRONMENT", etc.
but none of the other OS/2 sessions see it, they still read the dummy
value from my config.sys. I thought that REXX would do it, but I must
be doing something wrong or else there's a better way to do it ??

Catch you later, Mike
