Cool... :-) I've managed to accumulate more "junk", and am still in the process of trying to sort it out, and to get things in this room to the point where I can work on stuff again. I have yet to deal with any drives in that size range. I was going to go for one some years back, right around the time I switched away from MFM drives, but at that point the 540M was cheaper, so I ended up going for one of those. I still have it. :-) Currently I think it has OS/2 loaded on it, and is in a 486 box. I've heard of that brand, supposed to be pretty good except for being rather odd in some ways. WC> I've now got three working SVGA, 2 of them 19 inch with one small WC> one and a VGA. ALL FREE except the VGA I purchased used LONG ago. Nice when it works out that way. I still have a few around that are like that, and should probably do something about it in at least some cases, there's one on the shelf behind me that's starting to show signs of leakage. I have one internal modem I haven't even tried out yet, dunno what it needs in terms of the software or whether it's one of those winmodems or not... ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 3613/1275 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
