    Yep ..... that they do.  They are sooooooo poor over there that I wanted 
to give everyone standing on the street corner a peso ...... Buddy wouldn't 
let me.
    We went to the beach (darn, I can't remember just where) and saw a stable 
where they rented out horses to ride on the beach ...... it was something 
like $75 for a hour (maybe 2 hours).  Anyway, those poor horses were in 
pitaful shape - they looked like they'd never had their hooves taken care of 
-- they were skinny and looked like they really needed some good grooming.  
It was a shame to see how they were treated - BUT, at least they were in a 
barn with some water .... we saw others that were tied with no food OR water
