You might try adding the following to your CONFIG.SYS:
SUPPRESSPOPUPS=C
REIPL=ON
Hopefully the system can catch the error and post it to a file called
POPUPLOG.OS2 (created by the SUPPRESSPOPUPS=C) so you can read the file
after the system comes back up. The other setting causes the system to
reboot when a hard error occurs (hopefully, gracefully and after the
system has had a chance to utilize the POPUPLOG.OS2 file).
If this doesn't help you then it's hardware swap time to find out what's
causing the problem.
