When it comes to cats, like all else about them, they like water ON THEIR
TERMS. 
Ivy's big tomcat Spiker, (who is here by me at the moment,) just LOVES
to play with water in the shower or in a dish, but if he gets a snootfull
from a water gun or from a glass, he teleports! 
My cat Patches just told me, "I like water ONLY to drink!"
