Note: Pilot, Co-Pilot and eight passengers were killed. The aircraft
made ground contact on level terrain but with a high rate of descent.
The aircraft did not burn but cause of death to all occupants was caused
from burning electrical wireing from hot battery bus. Witnesses who
arrived at scene from adjacent road could see occupants but could not
get into aircraft. There were no emergency placards or instructions on
outside of aircraft to give information on how to open the access
points.
Witnesses in the area of impact said there was a low overcast of 3 or 4
hundred feet and the visibility was two or three miles.
The NTSB showed the aircraft took off 400 lbs. over wght of the 12.5
allowed. The NTSB report did not mention the King Air 200 is actually
certified for 15,000 lbs. max. gross take off wght. by the Military and
Foreign Governments. There were six sets of golf clubs on the aircraft
and these were estimated to weigh 50 lbs. each.
