Hi Gerry,
You mentioned to me on 21 Nov'96 - 11:47:
GC> My knid of car (almost), I have a '57 Imperial.
Hey, a boat!!

 GC> Sounds VERY familiar..... Another
GC> question... Does it re-start right off, or
GC> take a bit of cranking?
Takes a bit of cranking to get it going again. A shot of "fuel start"
right in the carb throat starts it right up. If not, it takes a couple
start tries. About one in four times it restarts just fine.
GC> Have you tried connecting a fuel pressure

GC> I added a electric "boost" pump back

Yes, we did a pressure check.. and replaced the fuel pump. Pressure
seems to be up to par.. but your idea of a "boost" pump seems pretty
good also. Will talk it over with the owner and see what he might have
to say about us putting one inline back there to help things out.
GC> You're welcome and good luck.
Thanks again... and whenever we do get this figured out I'll drop a
note here to say what it was. Hopefully it is one of the things
mentioned in the past few days here.
ttyl!
