Depends entirely on the efficiency of your rig.  For many years around
here natural gas was the preferred fuel for air conditioners.  Many
large industrial AC's use it still.  Many of the older large
'Plantation' type houses have a cute little Hercules fourbanger flathead
out in an equipment room, just gathering dust.
