Hi Vic and Mike

The reason I asked is that I just recently purchased an AMD XP 3200
and installed it on my new motherboard from TigerDirect. This was the
OEM version without a fan. I purchased a fan that was listed as
capable of handling a CPU up to this speed.

When I check my bios for the CPU fan temp, it is running around 167
degrees F.

It is my believe that this is way too hot.

With my old AMD XP 2000, my CPU temperature had been operating at
around 122 degrees F.

This is why I originally posted the question.
