subject: Testing results, Test Z3 nodelist

Oh well. I was not yet able to test what I wanted out. I checked the file
and ¨it was a 'full' Z3 nodelist.

I was able to compile the 'full' test nodelist with no problems and just
¨delivered direct netmail to Malcolm Miles with it installed and no trace
of the ¨regular nodelist compiled. No problems at all. FD is happy with
longer lines ¨and could care less about PVT being tied to -Unpublished-.
The test case has ¨several entries with the 2 uncoupled. Since my aim was
to test adding a DIFF ¨with the normal nodelist and see if EDITNL can
handle it, I did not test ¨further.

Malcolm or any other, I need a DIFF file with the new changes, to go
further ¨and vet out my antique EDITNL for you. I can tell you that TG
netmail running ¨with the Qnode nodelist processing was equally happy with
netmailing people ¨under the new format.

If the DIFF test file is based on the Z1 produced nodelist, I can test
without ¨needing a zone nodelist. If the zone nodelist is other than the
Z3 test one or ¨the production Z1 version, I will need their nodelist to
apply the test DIFF ¨against to see if there are problems.

EDITNL is a DIFF processor and if there are problems, it is replaceable
with ¨any more modern DIFF processor of a DOS base. EDITNL comes from Ben
Baker ¨(Makenl author) and my version was updated sometime in the past to
4.00 which ¨is 1 May 1988 dated.

Ready for further testing here!
                                       xxcarol
