I did caution you if you weren't familiar with high voltage to get a friend who's more comfportable to help. It's actually the capacitors and CRT that poses the greatest threat. In a low humidity environment the CRT can retain a couple tens of thousands of volts charge for a few days. I've a current limited discharge wand with insulated handle for this and another different value cable to discharge relatively high voltage capacitors. Coils only pose a threat ( flyback) when energized or _disconnected_ from a power source. When the contact is broken a back EMF can hit you pretty badly. Well I guess since you're still with us you're wiser for the experience ;-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
