RS> Because the bulk of the people in say Amway arent operating like that.

RS> I cant help it if you are to thick to understand how the law works Greg.

Name calling is usually the last recourse of the intellectually challenged
so I'll let that go for now.

RS> Yes, the law proscribes some particular activitys.

Of course it does. Back to the point however, the first line of this
message is your statement as to why Amway et al are not illegal. It is also
in fact wrong, THE major selling point of Amway distributorship if you had
EVER spoken to someone pushing it, is the possible returns on commissions
by other peoples sales, not the likely returns from the individuals sales
efforts. The fact that very few people actually DO make the sort of money
possible is due to thedifficulty in actually building up an effective
network and the time taken to do so, not because of any flaw in the
reasoning behind the scheme.

RS> Those activitys are illegal regardless of whether
RS> anyone actually chooses to break that law or not.

If I attempt to shoot somebody but fail, I am breaking the law even though
I failed to do what I intended. If a company is operating an illegal
pyramid marketing scheme it is illegal, whether regardless of your
statement in the first line, "the bulk of people" in that company
operate that way or not.

RS> BUT when deciding if a particular activity of a particular person is
RS> illegal activity or not, particularly when considering whether to say
RS> charge them or not, or say tell them to stop doing that or they will get
RS> charged, its their actual action, whether they have actually broken the
RS> particular law which counts. Not that they could if they wanted to.

Agreed, so if as you stated earlier, there ARE people in say Amway who
derive most of their income from commissions on sales by people below them
in the structure, and your quote admits that there are, and as YOU earlier
stated to do so MAKES it a pyramid marketing scheme, why are they not in
jail?

I know for a fact that Amway et al are NOT pyramid marketing schemes and
are NOT illegal. I also KNOW the reason why. After numerous requests to do
so you have YET AGAIN failed to answer my simple question, what defines a
pyramid scheme and how does it differ from a network scheme?

I think it is clear to everyone now that you simply DON'T KNOW and it is
about time you admitted it and stopped wasting everyones time with your
useless, unsubstantiated ravings.

Greg
