Hi Nancy,

NB> NB>> couple inches... cold this weekend, but then warming up first
NB> NB>> part of the week, and then colder again...

RH> We got down to the low 20s yesterday morning, I think just below
RH> freezing this morning. Days have been in the low 50s, not enough
RH> moisture in the air for any precipitation tho. I think it'll be in the
RH> low/mid 60s this week. Strawberry & peach farmers are having to cover
 RH> up blossoms/early fruit.

NB> And we've been back into the single digits for lows.... long-range,
NB> highest highs look to be in the 40s for a while... and there's that
NB> major snowstorm heading our way at the moment... At least we've got
NB> our power back, and heat.... :)

Helps to have the power & heat.....I've been watching the news reports
about the storms coming in. We had a dusting of snow on Sunday and rain
earlier today but not anything like what's predicted for the northeast.
We're supposed to have days in the 40s/low 50s and a few more nights in
the mid/low 20s this week--January weather in March!

NB> NB>> That is indeed a blessing.. :) I had a root canal done on
NB> NB>> Monday... by the time the numbness wore off, I didn't feel like
NB> NB>> cooking, so we went to Fu's for soft food... I had sakedon (a
NB> NB>> bowl of rice with fresh salmon atop) along with the miso soup
NB> NB>> (figured it would help the healing), and of course the salad
NB> with NB>> Fu's dressing (which wasn't too hard to eat, either)... we
 NB> also
NB> NB>> shared a small (hot) sake, which took the edge off of things
NB> NB>> nicely... Richard picked up the tab... ;)

RH> Soft foods go down easy in a hurting mouth. I remember when I had my
RH> wisdom teeth pulled--got home from the hospital (had been done under a
RH> general as they were all impacted) and Steve opened a can of vegetable
RH> soup for lunch. The vegetables felt rather hard, even tho they'd been
RH> cooked to mush. Good thought but probably would have done better with
 RH> just broth.

NB> Fortunately I didn't really have much pain.... just didn't want to
NB> push the issue.... I think mushy vegetables wouldn't have been a
NB> problem for me that night.... I was ok even with the slice of
 NB> cucumber... :)

Sounds like you did Ok. I had all 4 teeth taken at once, they had to be
cut out. It was done in early December, took me until late January to be
able to eat everything without hurting. No Fu's in the area at the time.

NB> RH>> We've liked them from the time they opened up. Looking around,
NB> I've RH>> seen at least one other in town but we've not tried them
NB> out. They're RH>> (now) closer, used to be, the other one was closer
NB> to where we lived. I RH>> guess we keep going back to the one because
 NB> we know it's good.
NB> NB>> We tend to do the same thing.... once in a while, especially if
NB> with NB>> the impetus of someone else that likes the other place,
 NB> we'll check NB>> out other, similar, places.... :)

RH> When you know good, you tend to stick with it. Especially food. (G)

 NB> But of course... ;)

But, it's also fun to try new places from time to time. I was debating
getting the beef bulgogi at the Korean place the other day but went with
another, tho less often ordered, spicy pork instead. It was good. (G)

Catch you later,
