subject: Re: HELP!!! CHKDSK Not Enough Memory

Hi, everybody

Need help urgently!

One of my partitions crashed and on reboot OS/2 tries to run chkdsk on
the "dirty" partition but is unable because of sys 0256 "not enough
memory to run chkdsk"; then it reboots and never goes beyond trying (and
failing) to fix the problem with that partition.

I tried going to my maintenance partition (which I can) but I can not
run CHKDSK from there for the same reason.

Does anybody has any ideas on how to solve this problem?

The partition in question has 25GB and I use hpfs386; the hard drive was
partitioned with LVM.
I have 1 GB of memory, Athlon 2.7 Ghz.
I think I can assess DFSEE from the maintenance partition.

Is there a limit on the partition size above which CHKDSK will not work?

Thanks for any suggestion

José
