Given the propensity of this administration to destroy or hide evidence at
every turn, I can easily imagine them manufacturing it if necessary.
Nonetheless, I think the photos are probably legit, albeit staged in order
to counter the damage from the photo taken during the raid.

I can even believe that Elian is happy to see his father (although it is
questionable how much he is actually seing him insofar as Greg Craig
indicated over the weekend with his Clintoesque response to a direct
question on the subject that Cuban officials are already on the scene),
although it would not be at all surprising to discover that he has also
been given anti-anxiety drugs given the type of folks who now have control
of him.

True. But what we DO know is that he is not free to tell us what he thinks,
which needs to be factored in before simply sending the kid back to Cuba.
That is why I would like to see the legal process run its full course. If,
at the end of it, they determine that there is sufficient reason to send
him back to Castro, so be it.

What I am especially concerned about is Clinton's eagerness to circumvent
the process. Whenever he behaves in such a flagrantly peculier way
generally means that is the time to be especially vigilent.
