You'd be amazed by the "pops, crackles, or hums" our telco has delivered. I
once called next door, to the same structure of our duplexes, and dad's phone
didn't even *ring*! (Yes I redialed a few times.)

Ah... Something I didn't consider! I really don't care about the speed of the
connection, as long as it doesn't frap out half way through a transfer. Maybe I
will have to pull out a philips-head screw-driver yet.
