123a34cb7a64 tech Hello Wayne - --8<--cut WC>>> If it tests OK I'll slap it in the H.P. in the next WC>>> couple of weeks. It worked in a previous machine. ->> I hope it works for you. Come to think of it that's how WC> I wiped out the NEC by plugging the connector in offset two WC> pins on the end outside :-( WC> Power through the wrong junctions must have fried the WC> semiconductors. WC> Goes with getting old eyesight. I would like to have a chance to hit whoever is responsible for the _lack_ of goof-proofing of IDE cables on the head with a rolled up newspaper at least 100 times or until they were unconscious. I've plugged cables in off by two myself and I can't see a good reason they didn't put an offset slot in the connector to let you know when you 'miss' all those little pins (reaching into a place where you can't even _see_ the pins etc.). I suppose a bunch of short cable extensions to allow me to do this in the light of day where I can see what I'm doing might help but no one does that either. :-\ > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
