BINGO! A laser printer's got to have enough memory to hold ALL the
data for an entire page, just as your external print buffer does --
and what's time consuming is generating and transmitting the amount
of data involved when there's a lot of graphics. That's why all of
our laser printers at work are equipped with 2 megs of memory and I
have to print anything there that my 512K LJ+ at home can't handle.
