RH>> The way things are looking, we probably won't have any more
RH>> snow the rest of this winter. BUT.....................I've
RH>> not seen a 30 day forecast so don't bet the farm on it.
NB>> At the moment, the only snow around here is in the leftover
NB>> piles... and temps are to be in the 60s the next few days...
NB>> But then they drop again for the weekend, and there's snow
NB>> predicted.... Probably March will be back to winter... ;)
RH> I'm only seeing snow on tv or pictures. (G)
At the moment there's no snow to be seen here.... but the forecast still
calls for snow tomorrow... but probably not much... I'm still guessing
that March will be back to winter...
RH>>> I used the leftover beef from making chili, should have gotten
RH>>> a cut with more fat on it as this one dried out too much. But,
RH>>> it was easy do, just the beef, a small can of V8, some presliced
RH>>> portabello mushrooms and leftover diced peppers from the chili.
NB>>> I suppose you could have saved any fat you cut off for the chili
NB>>> and added it back in for your crockpot dinner... ;) A nice
NB>>> way to use up your leftovers from the chili makings... :)
RH>> There really wasn't a lot of fat on the piece of beef to cut off.
RH>> Next time I think I'll go with a well marbled chuck roast or similar.
NB>> Yeah, that would probably've stayed moister.... :)
RH> Nex time........................
As long as you remember... ;)
RH>>> When we set up for retreat, someone put small bags of assorted
RH>>> chocolates at each place--mine came home so I wouldn't be
RH>>> tempted. (G)
NB>>> Good thinking... easier to parcel them out afterwards, too... :)
RH>> And share the wealth with Steve. There were some Snickers minis
RH>> in the bag--he got them and a white "chocolate" truffle.
NB>> Yup... I recognize your "non-favorites" there.... ;)
RH> No dark chocolate in the bag tho.
Made it easier to wait until you got them home... ;)
RH>>> Seems so, most every small town has a Chinese restaurant
RH>>> either in it or close to it. (G)
NB>>> Not always a good one, though... ;)
RH>> Good enough to keep going when other restaurants around them
RH>> have folded.
NB>> Chinese takeout tends to be lowest common denominator... takes
NB>> a lot less to keep going that way... ;)
RH> We get something from them every so often, like last Saturday when I
RH> was still feeling pretty lousy. Food tasted good tho, and had enough
RH> for 2 meals.
Sounds like yours is one of the better ones... :)
