Hello Wayne -

I thought so. :-)

WC> I'd think it likely a simple double pole double throw power

I'm going by the sound and 'light' feel to the switch that it
isn't managing higher voltages directly.

CA>> Any suggestions as to how I can test my theory and/or get

WC> Well first you've got to open the monitor case and in my

WC> I hacked half the handle from a regular one to reach.

CA>> fwiw: Doesn't have to be pretty as long as it works.

WC> Solder a wire across the appropriate set terminals and use

WC> My opinion, YMMV.

I bread boarded a few transistor circuits when I was younger
and can manage a soldering iron. I could read transistor
schematics and even spot the various sub assemblys at one time.
I guess I'm not 'handy' but am experienced (somewhat).

I will try adding a jumper to the switch.
