Andrew Cummins discussing "Creationism"
with me...
RT>> Which would be logical. They do however offer evidence for their
RT>> theories which is open to be tested.
AC> Then let them bring 'em on.
They have already. The theories are tested continuously by evolutionists
themselves. That's why its called a science.
AC>> And, of course, any evidence to the contrary to Evolution dismissed
AC>> with the creation of sub-theories to reconcile contradicting evidence.
RT>> Such as?
AC> Darwin reasonably predicted that innumerable transitional forms should
AC> be found in the fossil record. When this didn't turn out to be
AC> accurate, Evolutionists hypothisized that Evolution operates in a mode
AC> of Punctuated Equilibrium.
Incorrect. The evolutionists are split into two schools of thought about
this. There are 'gradualists' and 'punctuationists'.
AC> Punctuated Equilibrium certainly doesn't exist because someone
AC> discovered compelling evidence for it or a mechanism.
It is a theory, yes. They have never claimed anything more than that AFAIA.
RT>> Then maybe you'd like to post the Creationist model that you speak of,
RT>> AND what it predicts, and allow us to make our own judgments?
AC> Consider an aspect of the Creation model: the relatively recent
AC> appearance of a multitude of kinds of animals of independent origin.
AC> That predicts the absence of transitional forms.
But we HAVE transitional forms. They are not non-existent merely rare. As one
would expect if the punctuated evolution theory is correct.
AC>> Evolution stems from the belief that there is no God.
RT>> So it's nothing to do with the millions of fossils and bones then?
AC> And, here I thought that you were making an attempt to be something more
AC> than a moron.
We have fossils with ages running up to 600 million years old. That's a lot
longer than 6000 years. Please explain why we have fossils of this age if the
earth is only 6000 years old as creationists claim.
If we hadn't dug these bones up then there would be no theory to try and
explain their origin. It has nothing to do with the disbelief of god but a
lot more to do with the curiosity of man.
Not all evolutionists are atheists but they aren't creationists in the
fundamentalist sense. ie. they don't believe the world was created in 6 days
6000 years ago.
