Hi George, thanks for your message.
I went into the configuration program for Qedit called Qconfig and
ran it from the DOS command. I am running with windows 3.1 and DOS 6.0.
I have a mouse with a mouse driver which I use to get into menus.
Since I last called for help I made a phone call to a help line and was
told to get rid of the VGAOEM file in order to get Windows working, which
I did. My big problem now is that I cannot get into my condensed files
because I went and turned off Doublespace, not knowing what it was used
for. I now get en error message telling me that DBLSPACE.BIN is not
loaded and that I cannot access my condensed files, which of course means
I have no tagline files available to me.
I went into file manager to see if the Doublespace files were there and they
are in fact in there. There is no command in the configuration system for
DBLESPACE.BIN and I think that is where the trouble is. I called the help
line up again last night and we tryed everything he could think of but still
cannot get DBLSPACE.BIN to load.
He suggested that I clear out my hard drive and reload everything again
from scratch. This I do not want to do as it is just too much work!!
There must be a better way to fix the problem if you know how I can fix
it could you please let me know? Thanks
Carolyn From Calgary
