PART IV - TRANSCRIPT OF ACCIDENT.
This startes off with the AR-1 Controller asking the Colorado Springs,
Peterson Field Controller what the weather is at the Springs.  Peterson
Field is joint use Military/Civilian field so the Controller calls him
GENERAL.

AR-1  - Hey General..what's your weather please..................
CS Tower - Go ahead...........................................
AR-1 - Your weather...........................................
CS -     Okay..it's ..ah..sky partially obscurred.. measured ceiling
         five hundred overcast...visibility two and a half.. light snow.
         and fog................................................
?  -     (garbled)..................................................
AR-1  -  Five six Lima.. five six Lima..Springs weather..sky partially
         obscurred..measured ceiling five hundred overcast..visibility
         two and one half.. light snow and fog.....................
N456 Lima - We're going to have to go down.. we can't hold it here at
            eleven.................................................
AR-1  -  Five six Lima do you intend to .. ah..come into Stapleton...
N456 Lima -  AFFIRMATIVE..ANYWHERE WE CAN GET TO...............
        (Pilot can be heard to say.. Wherever we can get in there..)
AR-1  - I understand five six Lima descend and maintain..ah..one zero
        thousand.. that's the best I can do lright now..ah. unless I
        have to vector you eastbound just stay on that heading and
        altitude now.. there's traffic off to your left ten O'Clock
        at eight southbound at eighty five.......................

Note:  This traffic is 2030 Papa, another King Air 200 which is inbound
to Arapahoe Airport.  It seems inbound traffic have priority, something
like the shuttle returning from space.

N456 Lima - OKAY..we want to declare an emergency if necessary.. just
            get us straight to the runway...........................

         heading and altitude......................................
ATC CI - Ten southeast of Arapahoe..probably be an emergency..(garbled)
30-Papa - thirty Pappa .. level at eighty two.........................
CI  -   Five six will have to go down.. he's icing up.............
AR-1 -  Five six Lima descend and maintain eight thousand.............
N456 Lima - We're coming down to eight............................
AR-1  - Braniff three twenty five turn left heading two five zero
        maintain one one thousand .. delay vector..................
BNF -325 - Two five zero one one thousand Braniff three twenty five..
AR-1  - Five six Lima turn left, heading three four zero vector final
        approach course ..we'll take you right into a base leg from
        there......................................................
N 456 Lima - Three four zero.........................................
IC  -    Carl..my King Air over there is not picking up any ice.....

        so he's probably west of it.................................

         that's ..ah...are you going to be able to make that or what...
N456 Lima -  NAW..get us to the nearest airport... we got to come on
             down (Pilot talking)...................................
AR-1  -    Five six Lima...........alright fly heading three two zero..
           five six Lima...be..ah...PAR three two Buckley..Five six Lima
           then continue descent .....ah....try to hold whatever you can
           and we'll try to work you into three zero Buckley....
IC    -    GCA.....................................................
AR-1  -   I've got an approach for it's an emergency.................
25-Zulu - Two five Zulu (garbled) arapahoe (garbled) position.(garbled).
AR-1 -  Two five Zulu roger.........................................
AR-1 -  Braniff three twenty five... turn right heading zero eight zero.
BNF-325 - Zero eight zero ..Braniff three twenty five..................
AR-1 -     Five six Lima turn left heading three one zero.......five
           six Lima try to hold the altitude as best you can cause you
           still got ten miles to go to ...ah...Buckley...that is the
           closest airport...ah...from your position.................
Ar-1  -   Continental three hundred..reduce speed one eight zero knots.
CAL-300 - Roger....................................................
AR-1 -   Five six Lima ..heading three one zero...five six Lima.....
AR-1 -  Five six Lima Denver altimeter..two niner eight two..heading
        three one zero.............................................
AR-1 -  Five six Lima if you hear me Ident.. five six Lima..if you hear
        me ident......................................................
?   -  (garbled).....I can't....................................
AR-1  - Four five six ....ah...Lima..radar contact lost..position..ah..
        one seven.. six.. one eight miles southeast of Stapleton.. be
        advised we have alerted emergency equipment ...they'll be on
        their way.................................
