Dave, The problem with "boiled" linseed oil from the hardware store
isn't boiled, it just has chemicals added.
For finish blend equal parts of a good marine spar varnish, boiled
linseed oil and clean Stoddard Solvent or "TERPS" (Turpentine Replacement
Paint Solvent) which you can get at any good paint store.
It's best to use real turpentine and boil your own linseed oil.
