GV> My MASM 5.1 supports only 16-bit mode.
Nonsense. Put the ".386" before the ".model small" and
you will get 32
bit segments. Or, alternatively, put ".386" in the file and use the
"USE32" keyword in your segment directives like this:
_TEXT segment dword public use32 'CODE'
The problem is that LINK doesn't support 32 bit. You
need to use LINK386.
GV> I got MASM 6.11 only to find that it doesn't support OS/2.
Microsoft Assembler. Any questions?
GV> The 32-bit GNU Assembler doesn't have documentation.
Go back to MASM 5.1, or buy Borland's TASM. Since you already have MASM
5.1, I would stick with it.
GV> ... Does anyone have a complete (including books) MASM 6.0, 5.2,
GV> TASM 1.0 (OS/2) or TASM 3.2 (DOS) that they're willing to sell?
GV> Preferably you're in the Toronto area, so I can pick it up (I'm in
GV> a rush!).
MASM 5.1 will work just fine. I USE IT FOR 32 BIT OS/2 PROGRAMMING!
(Sorry, didn't mean to yell.)
