I'm going to wait a few weeks and see if the ACER
CD-ROM is recognized properly in there and try the Turtle Beach sound
card with it.
Another PITA as it means pulling the machine apart just to
try it and if it fails repeating the procedure to put the LG
CD-ROM back.

Can you believe it the reason I had to tear it apart was because
neigther the input jack board OR the cable could be manuvered
in such a way as to get them out!!!

Well the spinal injury here has led to me destroying
hardware out of impatience :-(
I get on a roll and forget my time limit is about two hours
a day before my stamina goes and with it goes my critical
thinking ability :-(
I do have one last hard drive in the 486 but it has important files on
it so I can't put it at risk by swapping it around.
