AL> If the password (under EchoMail Nodes, Session Options) is left blank, AL> CRAM-MD5 sessions fail. Entering a single dash (-) in the password AL> field allows the session to proceed correctly. Mystic should default to Yes, thats true. Mystic leaves it up to you to set the password that you want it to send to the remote side even if for some reason you are configuring a node for unsecure connections. I will add some code in to change a blank to - as suggested for A58!
