I'll accept that. :) But, so long as I have your attention, where
should the commas go in the sentence below:
We have therefore established that he said, "I am the man that
can do him in," "I am the kind of man that can take him out,"
or "I am just the kind of guy that can do a number on him."
The influence of BASIC programming would drive a typist to put the
commas outside the quotes. But the proper standard to apply is the
one that predates the advent of popular computers.
