BS! The ARN is sent out in the form you post because it is meant to be
read by an Amateur Radio operator who needs to take an ID break every 10
minutes or so. This is in accordance to the FCC rules on identification of
your station, as required on an over the air (aka broadcast) network. A
real HAM would know this already.
The edited edition posted here is done so without regard to anyone having
to ID their station, as it is only meant to be read in a Fidonet echo
format and not broadcast over the air.
