Hi Nancy,

NB> NB>> That's what the small dustings of snow are for, to clean things
 NB> NB>> up... :)

RH> No, actually they just cover over the dirty spots so you can pretend
 RH> they don't exist. (G)

NB> [shrug]... That's cleaning things up, at least for this situation...
NB> ;) Good enough to just not see the dirty part... ;)

We've not had that much to look at this winter. If we'd not gone out
west, it would have been just the left overs from the storm last month.
Going to get cold briefly later this week but not wet and cold enough at
the same time around here to generate white stuff.

NB> RH>> the white. Brought it in the next day & finished cutting what
NB> was RH>> needed. I'm going to try to get the top finished over the
 NB> next
NB> RH>> few weeks, then go back to QoV projects.
NB> NB>> That worked out ok after all, then... :)

RH> Quite so. This quilt is from a picture I'd seen in a quilting supplies
RH> catalog. I'd bought a piece of fabric that I liked, not sure what to
RH> do with it until I saw the picture. Took some time to do the maths but
RH> it'll be a pretty quilt when done. Wall hanging or snuggle under on a
 RH> cold day size.

 NB> Sounds nice. :)

You will see pictures of it probably next summer. (G) Tomorrow I'm going
to put something into the crock pot before my dental appointment so it
can cook while I'm there and at quilting. Supper will be ready for us to
enjoy before heading out to church.

NB> RH>> Much better for me overall. I don't like working with dirty
NB> RH>> hands (from munching) so will refrain from the mindless
NB> RH>> munchies when concentrating on a project.
 NB> NB>> Also very good thinking... :)

RH> Helps me be more mindful of what I'm eating too. I try to track the
RH> carbs somewhat; it's easier to do if I'm not eating all the time. (G)

NB> Fewer things to jot down (or mentally list)... :) Back in the days
NB> when I went to Sit'N Stitch sessions for our local Embroiderer's
NB> Guild, there were always munchies out... I found it easier to resist
NB> them once I realized that they were usually upsetting my stomach as
 NB> well as
NB> messing up my hands.... ;0

Better all around then, not to snack.

NB> NB>> True, indeed.... Was switching between the two different
NB> actions NB>> sufficient to keep things happy...? Or did you also
NB> need to take NB>> breaks from both....?

RH> There were enough breaks--pressing, catching up with some of the
RH> ladies I'd not seen in a while, admiring other's
 RH> projects.................

NB> Lots of good breaks mixed in, then... :) And a fun time was had by
 NB> all... ;)

As always, yes.

NB> NB>> ... Did you say that MNP means Modem Needs Pizza?

RH> We recently saw a sign for a new business here in WF, also in Raleigh,
RH> called MOD Pizza. No idea what the MOD stood for so I suggested
RH> mushrooms, olives and durian. Steve disagreed, but hasn't come up with
 RH> anything better.

NB> Daikon, maybe....? (G) Oh, I know... Dairy...! ;) Hopefully
 NB> not Dog... (G)

RH> We're half thinking that since they are advertising "fresh and
RH> fast", it could mean "made on demand" but I like my idea better. (G)

NB> I saw where Jim confirmed that "made on demand".... Besides, how
NB> common is durian where you are, anyway..... (G)

Not very, we've got a small Asian population, but not that many
in/aroundWF. They're more toward the Research Triangle/Durham/Cary area.
We have only the one Chinese place in WF proper, but it does a good
business from non Asians, including, us, from time to time.

Catch you later,
