Hola Bob :) Wishing impatience does not spoil things ... ;) Sunday November 17 2002 00:23, Bob Short decˇa a Felipe T. Dorado: FT>> It's the least I could do since I could not participate in effort as FT>> much as I'd have liked. BS> Your support ipso facto is just as important. ;-) I sure would like to see more Nodes participating. But I think this is a good start, slowly but surely. FT>> I already mentioned something about translating the proposed FT>> changes. BS> One language at a time... Let's see what we can do to propogate the BS> practise. Yeap. Point is that no changes in 13! years now and there are SysOps that do not seem to care a bit about policy :( Gosh, policy is an agreement on how to function. No agreement no rule :( Believe me, if people see that the effort to give them the agreement in their own language has been made they at least will _read_ it. BS> Look for a message in the FN_SYSOP and FIDO_SYSOP echos. Thank you very much for them. FT>> We already live in a planet that does not necessarily have to speak FT>> the sa language, so far. If Fido wants to really be planetary it has FT>> to take into account other cultures and not just the English FT>> speaking world... BS> Just as a nation requires a national language to function, so too does an BS> international community. Until English is supplanted as the accepted BS> tongue of the world, we must continue it's use here. In cases where BS> it isn't/cannot be understood, we'll have need of translations. I understand that. However I feel priviledged to be able to communicate in theis my second language. Not that many people can say the same thing. I'm a minority. And though English is certainly the language for computers, more and mores people are coming into this world to use this machines and their programs. And they do not speak English nor do they have the real need or plan to learn it. I see it everyday. That's why I put in my grain of sand on the matter and dare to insist on it. BS> Like I said, watch for my next message on this in the _sysop echos. Thank you again for incorporating the suggestion. Hope it yields. BS> Dated 28 Oct 2002, as distributed in FNEWSJ43.ZIP Thank you. I just discovered that one did not reach me. I just FileReqed. Keep at it.
