WP I presume is a word processor and by WWW I presume you mean HTML.
From the start many hardware manufactures refused to release code that
would allow Linux users to use the hardware they had legally bought via a 
vendor. 
As far as i know Linux is not a swear word so your asterisks are uncalled
for. ;)
