I have had a ps/2 to serial mouse adapter for some time on some machines. I have never had a problem with two button mice. I have also used adapters for ps/2? keyboards and set to 101 again no problems. Provided you are not trying anything elaborate then it seems they are interchangeable. Some mice even when they plugged in serial will install on interrupt 7 others will use interrupt 3. Because my machines are not cutting edge i haven't tried win-key boards using an adapter so there may be some loss of functionality. Those little cables can get you out of trouble if something goes AWOL. ;) L8r. :) --- MultiMail/Linux v0.46* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
