Hello All:

 I'm hoping someone might have a workable init string for a Hayes 
Optima 288 V.FC? (Bring back some memories?) It only connects at 
14.4 now with plenty of CRC errors, and I know our POTS line aint 
that bad. I trust it is "Hayes compatable" for obvious reasons.

 A) Is there a better place to ask?
 B) Factory default should be &Z1, or is that the user writable
 NV? Suplimentry: What is the write command?
 C) Is there a loopback test for the HW handshake on the cable?

 The UART is listed as 16550AN. Is this one of the buggered  ones 
I've read so much about? I do have a listing of the AT command set 
I'm sure, but doubt I could find it in a day, let alone decypher 
it.
