Think about it, Alan. You spend more time focusing on Bordick and calling him 
the primary reason why the offense lost 137 runs (Don't say that you didn't 
because you did) and making him the primary reason why Baltimore failed this 
year (Was the fact that he possibly could be going to Baltimore the reason 
why they failed last year?). Never mind that Alomar missed 41 games or that 
the primary reason why Anderson drove in 43 fewer runs is that he hit 38 
fewer home runs or the primary reason why Palmeiro's runs batted in were down 
was the fact that he hit worse this year AND he had to deal with Alomar not 
being there like he was last year.
If Bordick was such a detriment and such a bad fielder as you make him out to 
be, why is it that it wasn't reflected in the fielding and pitching? Whether 
you like it or not, pitching IS fielding and even the best pitchers look like 
crap when their fielding betrays them. Bordick didn't and was cited by many 
people in the organization, including his teammates, for his work.
As for your comments about Johnson....In my opinion, Bonilla jaked his way 
back into the lineup. DH would have meant less money and would have killed 
his market value. Even if he was a bum in the field, he could command more 
money than he could as a DH. The man can manage and he knows a lot more about 
this game than you and I combined (Look it up). 99% of his moves work out and 
this one was a winner. I know your disappointed not to get back Todd, the God 
but that's the way it is. Bordick will be even better next year but his 
efforts will probably be wasted because of Miller but you'll see any failure 
by the team as Bordick's and not Miller's.
