Yes, sort of.
It's a scenario with sourcefiles like:
 ABC01000.C
 ABC02000.C
 ABC02400.C
 ABC02410.C
 ABC02500.C
 ABC02500.C
 ABC02600.C
 DEF01100.C
 DEF01200.C
 ... etc.
In such a system you want to grab a file with '2400' or even with '41' (for
ABC02410). A programmer thinks of a file as 'the 2400' rather than ABC02400.
Without the anchor_search, it is as if TSE follows the programmer's thoughts
better.
I agree that it doesn't work with a list like 'address.txt', 'fortress.txt' 
etc.
