subject: dying burner?

-> In the old days I used Liquid Freon for cleaning Electronic assemplies.
-> That is Outlawed now of course now days as well as it's predicessor
-> CarbonTetrachloride. Which I used a number of gallons in my Much
-> Younger years.

Yeah the freon is inert and a fine cleaner but lousy for the ozone
layer.

-> Another tip though for cleaning electronics is to uae a PH Netural Dish
-> Washing Detergent and Wash them. They dry them in an oven set at about
-> 125 F

I've used distilled water on some stuff, wouldn't know
how to go about finding out if dishwashing soap was PH 7.

-> Air drying in the sun on a warm day also works.
-> The only caution is to make sure they are Completly DRY before
-> powering up

Of course.
