Ooh, not me. I always liked Rubber Soul in the US version, but when I finally
heard the UK version, in the early or mid-'70s, I preferred it immediately. I love
the fact that it's not as laid-back as the retooled US version. The US version
might retain its charm, though; I think I'll get it out tomorrow and give it a
listen, for old times' sake.

To return to Rubber Soul, that's the one I clearly prefer in mono. Not that it's
unlistenable in stereo or anything, but the mono is what I listen to about 90
percent of the time.

I had the opposite reaction. When I first heard them without all that reverb, I
loved them in their "natural" state. And I still do.
