Errum, yeh, something like that. Modems produced since the late eighties
haven't needed Blacklisting. I don't know quite when the
"regulation" (?) was relaxed, but it hasn't ever been in any UK
Couriers I don't think.

No, UK Couriers have never had a data Calling Tone. Obviously there's V.8
CI tones, and fax CNG tones, but not the outgoing "beeeep beeeep
beeeep" after dialling a data connection.
