Hi Nancy,
NB> RH>> We had a white Christmas in Utah. (G)
NB> NB>> Ours was white enough... ;)
RH> Not surprising. I do remember a few green Christmas days tho. One year
RH> (1982) we got up to Steve's folks after dark, promising Rachel she
RH> could play in the snow the next morning. Turned warm and rainy
RH> overnight, melting all the snow. Didn't even see any in the Catskills
RH> that trip.
NB> We've had years like that... and this year's could have been the
NB> same... The inflection on my comment was that it was barely a white
NB> Christmas,
NB> just enough to still call it so... ;) Didn't last much past
NB> Christmas, either...
Better that you don't have to shovel it out tho. We had a few Christmas
days in AZ that started white but turned green within a few hours.
NB> RH>> I know, but I'll probably be putting the arm to the
NB> kneading/dough RH>> shaping test in a couple of weeks or so.
NB> NB>> Just be careful... :)
RH> I will; we bought bread at the farmer's market last Saturday. But,
RH> I've been cutting up meat and veggies (beef stew tonight) for various
RH> supper meals.
NB> And the arm's been ok with the chopping....?
So far, so good but not done anything too strenuous. Going to use the
bread machine to make a loaf tomorrow, only because we don't have enough
flour to do two loaves in the KA. Quilt retreat the latter part of the
week so I want to do the bread before we run out. (G)
NB> NB>>> Indeed... :) Nothing like home-baked bread.... :)
NB> RH>> German bakeries did a decent job; we bought bread from them
NB> quite RH>> often. I never bought any at the supermarket in Berlin.
NB> NB>> True, fresh-baked bakery bread can come close... ;)
RH> And they can slice it for you, faster than you can slice it yourself.
NB> There is that.. :)
Done almost before you finish asking for it to be sliced. (G)
