| subject: | Veterans Day Greetings |
Warm thanks, greetings and salutations to all here who are veterans of military service. FWIW, this year I am particularly proud of my older first cousin, Berry F. Rhoden, who was on the Pusan Perimeter in Korea in 1950. He was prominently featured in an article in the Sunday paper magazine section "Parade" on 11/7/04. In the picture on the cover, he is second from the left on the bottom row. The cover may currently be seen by going to www.parade.com If anyone is interested, the full article is to be posted on 11/15 at http://archive.parade.com/2004/1107/1107_korean_war.html - - - JimH. P.S. We are now official residents of Alabama, with me escaping our former home near Orlando, FL via a Uhaul truck on the evening of 9/25, just a few hours ahead of the third hurricane to strike there within 6 weeks. Ironic - thru the three hits, we just lost one tree from our yard there, but before we could close on the new place here, that hurricane Ivan fellow had come way up here and took out 2 or 3 trees in this yard, well inland north of the Gulf, near Birmingham, AL. ... Bother, said Pooh, as he tried to think of someting on-topic to add. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.32* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
