=========================================================================== RE: Possible Allfix Bug BY: Barry Blackford (3:774/605) =========================================================================== BB> Thanks for your suggestion, however, it's not that (I don't think), BB> because I can perform the same operation by the other means, BB> Xtree/Dos, Windows Explorer etc (from the same machine with allfix on BB> it) all other methods have no issue with the rights I have set? It's not a permissions issue here, either. DOS utilities, such as StupenDOS, work fine to overwrite the existing file. And this is simpler than Samba to Windows sharing. (Coincidentally, one of the Windows directories is mounted by smbmount for the ftp server, and NetMgr from the DOS machine stages/moves the outbound into the right directories for me.) Just something weird in how AllFix does it's copy/overwrite checking. However, if I run AllFix from a mapped drive on a Windows machine (also running LANtastic, with the target drive mapped as LANtastic), it overwrites without squabble.
