I am looking at a M*c connector here and it "looks" like a
PS/2 mouse connector. Do not ask me about the pinout.

My # 1 daughter uses IR to synchronize a PDA, that is the only
time that I have seen it done. As you say, the range and accuracy of
aim is paramount.
