First, I do understand that there was no warrant for the entry. That's why
I characterized the raid as illegal and the removal of the boy as a
kidnapping.
Second, I think these actions are the logical extension of a trend toward
increasing police power (at all levels) that began with Richard Nixon's
"law and
order" rhetoric, was accelerated by the "war on drugs"
hysteria encourated by Ronald Reagan (the Great Demagogue), and in which
Bill Clinton is a willing and enthusiastic participant.
