| subject: | DVD Data Backups? |
Hi Jim, You wrote to ALL on 30.11.04 about "DVD Data Backups?": JH> Anyone here regularly using DVD +/-R or +/-RW discs for data JH> backup and restoration of HDD contents? Yup! And DVD-RAM, which I prefer for that "game". :) JH> If so, please tell about your satisfaction with it, and what JH> software you are using. BIR, my SIL told me they use Roxio JH> where he works, and that NERO has probs with nested JH> subdirectories. This would be the full version of the software, JH> not the version which comes with drives sold at retail Any clues as to the depth of that nesting Jim ? So far, I've not had problems on that score with the Nero v.6 offering. Nor did I have such problems with the CyberLink suite, which is less pricey than either Nero or Roxio. Next on my list to check is the Ashampoo Burning Studio v.5 Maybe a trip to www.ashampoo.com might be worth your while - unless someone else reckons it's no good ;) TTFN, Archie --- CrossPoint/FreeXP v3.40 RC3 R* Origin: Templar's Refuge #2 (2:250/501.11) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 250/501 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
