I recently got an external GVC 28.8k fax modem, and I've been having 
problems with downloading binaries via FTP or from the web.  Downloads 
from local BBS's via Zmodem are no problem.
When I un-zip a file retrieved via FTP, there are many errors (CRC, 
data tables etc).
I'm using the factory presets on the modem.  Should I change some of 
the parameters?
